.22 RIMFIRE SMALLBORE RIFLE RANGE RULES
1. Only .22 rimfire, single shot rifles are permitted.  Any rifles with clips, magazines or tubes must be single loaded.
2. Only .22 long rifle match or standard velocity ammunition may be used.  No high velocity or .22 magnum ammunition may be used.
3. No rapid fire shooting is allowed.
4. Minors must be under the strict control of a parent or approved coach.
5. No shooting at ANY wildlife.
6. Firearms must be handled in a SAFE manner at ALL times.
7. Any person committing an unsafe act will be directed to leave the premises immediately.
8. No disorderly conduct or "horse play" allowed.
9. Eye and ear protection is required.
10. No one may shoot who has ingested any alcoholic beverage or drug.
11. All actions will be open and unloaded when ANYONE is down range.  Actions may be closed when unloaded and cased.   No one may go down range while any firing is taking place.
12. Firearms are to be pointed down range at all times.
13. Load firearms only when in firing position and the command" LOAD" has been given.
14. All firearms will be opened and unloaded immediately upon the command "CEASE FIRE".
15. All official range commands must be obeyed IMMEDIATELY!
16. Shoot only at designated paper targets, not at any cans, bottles, or other objects.
17. Remain quiet on the firing line while others are shooting.  Hold conversations away from the firing line.
18. If anyone is going to shoot over 30 minutes at a time, he or she must inform others on the range so they can put out 2 targets if they desire.  The maximum time allowed between target breaks is 60 minutes.
19. On days of NRA or USA SHOOTING competitions, no firing before 9AM.  On days of other one-day competitions, no shooting between 8 and 9AM.
20. Clean up your area after shooting, including putting all brass in the red cans on the firing line, returning your target frame and wind flags to the target frame container.
21. Dispose of ALL trash, ammo boxes and wrappers in trash cans.  Put all used cleaning patches in the white cans on benches for proper disposal.
22. Pay fees before beginning to shoot.
23. Remember – SAFETY IS THE #1 PRIORITY OF OUR SPORT – No firearms accident has ever occurred on our range since it was built in 1938 – DO NOT BE THE FIRST!!  (Smallbore Rifle Shooting is the only injury and fatality free NCAA sport!)

Location:  Range located in Athletic Area A, in the Whittier Narrows Recreation and Natural Areas, in the Whittier Narrows Flood Control Basin administered by the United States Army, Corps of Engineers, on the northwest corner of the intersection of Interstate 60 and Rosemead Blvd. (State Route 19).  Range located between the Model Airplane Field and the BMX Race Track.  The Range is leased from the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation.
