LOCATIONS:
South:  The LAR&R range is in South El Monte, approximately 12 miles east of Los Angeles. Take Rosemead Blvd. south from the San Bernardino Fwy (10) or north from the Pomona Fwy (60) to Whittier Narrows Park entrance on the west side of the road immediately north of the 60. In the park, go right around the park road until it dead ends.  Go left to the range between the bike track and the model airplane area. The County may charge $4 for park entry; tell them you're going to the rifle range for a competition and the fee may be waived.

North:  The match will be held at the Dillman Range in Lincoln, CA. Lincoln is a 1/2 hour drive NE of Sacramento on Hwy 65. The Dillman Range is on the east side of Hwy 65, 1 mile north of Lincoln.

ELIGIBILITY: Entry is open to any NRA member or junior member of NRA club. CRPA membership is mandatory.
CRPA MEMBERSHIP: forms are available at the range, and non-members may join the CRPA on the day of the match. Adults memberships are $18, juniors $5.

ENTRY:
South: Entry is limited to one relay of 20 shooters. Entries are due by May 13, 2005. Late entries will be accepted to range capacity but a $10 late charge will apply including junior entries.
North: Entry is limited to two relays of 22 shooters each (second relay only if first relay is full). Entries are due by May 13, 2006. After May 13, a $10 late charge will apply, including junior entries.
North and South: Fees include NRA registration fee of $5.25, a CRPA event pin, and a results bulletin. Entry fees will be refunded if a competitor is unable to attend.

REGISTRATION: All adult entries must include entry fees. Be sure to indicate your CRPA member number, CRPA membership expiration date, your NRA member number, and your NRA outdoor 3P classification on your registration form. Juniors must provide birth date. Make check payable to the host club and mail according to where you want to shoot:

SQUADDING: All matches will be squadded. Squadding may be picked up on the morning of the match. Your SR-1 card and fees are due before the closing date. Late or incomplete entries will be assigned a firing point on the morning of the match.
North: Firing point assignments will be drawn and posted at 8AM on the day of the competition. Competitors will be responsible for placing and removing their target frame.

CLASSIFICATION: NRA 3-P classification will be used. Unclassified competitors may use their temporary scorebook-assigned classification, or will fire in the Master class. Specify your NRA 3-Position and NRA Metric Prone (for English Match only) classification(s) on your entry card.

MISCELLANEOUS: NRA rules apply.  Shooters must furnish their own target clips. Wind flags will be provided. Eye and ear protection are recommended (South)/required (North). Personal wind indicators may be used per NRA rules (up to 24" in front of firing line).

TARGETS: A-50 six-bull targets will be used. Competitors will hang their unfired targets and retrieve the fired target of the competitor to their right. Competitors may not handle their own fired targets.

CRPA AWARDS: Statewide – Match 12 winner will receive the CRPA trophy bear (provided by the CRPA). The High Senior, High Lady, High Junior, High Intermediate Junior, and High Sub-Junior will receive a plaque if 5 or more competitors are entered in that category statewide in Match 12. Competitors may only win one award in Match 12, the award of higher value or higher standing. Awards will not be passed down. A plaque will be given statewide for the high score in the English Match, Match 11, if 5 or more competitors fire Match 11.

CLUB AWARDS: Awards will be given in Match 12 only, for all classes of 5 or more competitors, with a second for 10 in a class, a third for 15, etc. Classes will be combined upward in accordance with NRA procedures. A competitor may win only one award in Match 12, the higher value award. Awards will not be passed down.

CAMP PERRY 3-P TEAM SELECTION: CRPA teams are selected in accordance with CRPA policy as quoted below. Firing members of a CRPA team must be a resident of California and a member of the CRPA. Highest-finishing juniors in the year 2005 3-position or conventional prone State Championships who travel to Camp Perry, Ohio and compete on the state team in their qualifying discipline within applicable CRPA, NRA, and CMP rules will be eligible for CRPA-paid support for some of their expenses, provided they are not otherwise being supported by a governmental agency.

CRPA Team Selection Policy: "Membership on CRPA teams selected for national competition shall be determined by order of finish in the most recent state championship aggregate in that discipline from those competitors who are both a resident of California and a current CRPA member in good standing prior to the beginning of competition. A person accepting a position on a CRPA team agrees to abide by NRA and CRPA rules and any reasonable instructions from the team captain. Failure to comply may result in forfeiture of funding and debarment from participation in CRPA sanctioned activities for up to five (5) years. Such disciplinary action may be imposed after a hearing by the Executive Council upon receipt of a written complaint filed by the Chairman of the appropriate Sanctioned Activity Committee."

CRPA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

CRPA Membership is required before any competitor takes his or her position on "Ready Line" or on the "Firing Line" at a State Championship!!!

CRPA MEMBERSHIP FOR CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS: CRPA membership is required in order for California residents to participate in any CRPA State Championship. Resident Competitors must be a current dues paid member and in good standing with the California Rifle and Pistol Association, Inc. Competitors may join CRPA at the State Championship site by contacting the Match Director or Stat Office.

CRPA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP MEMBERSHIP FOR ELIGIBLE NON-CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS: State Championship Membership is open to any person eligible for individual member-ship who is not a California resident and who shows proof of current membership in an NRA-affiliated State Association or NRA-approved Foreign Shooting Federation.

For competitors that meet the above qualification – The fee for such CRPA Membership is $5.00
(The term of such membership shall last only for the duration of the Sanctioned State Championship, and shall not exceed three consecutive days. A State Championship member shall receive no member benefits after the conclusion of the State Championship.)

For competitors that DO NOT meet these qualifications – The fee for CRPA Membership is $18
(The term of such membership shall be for 12 consecutive months, and shall expire at the conclusion of the 12th month of membership. Such members will be entitled to all rights of the Association.)

CRPA JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP: Junior Membership is open to any person (20) twenty years of age or under. Such status shall continue through the end of the calendar year in which the Junior member's 20th birthday occurs.

For competitors that meet the above qualifications – The fee for CRPA Junior Membership is $5.00.
(The term of a CRPA Junior Membership shall be for 12 consecutive months, and shall expire at the conclusion of the 12th month of membership. A Junior member will be entitled to all rights of the Association except the right to vote and hold the position of Director.)

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE HOST CLUB:

CRPA Membership or State Championship Membership must be satisfied/verified by the match officials prior to the start of the State Championship. Competitors may be required to show their current CRPA membership card. If a competitor cannot present a current/valid CRPA membership card, they will be required to purchase a CRPA membership before they can participate – and their CRPA # space on the "CRPA State Championship Competitor Roster and Information Report" is to be noted "NEW MBR." The payment for each "NEW MBR" and a completed CRPA Application Form must be attached to the completed Competitor Roster Report. (If it is later determined that their membership was valid – their newly purchased CRPA membership will be processed to extend their existing expiration date accordingly!) Each person listed on the "CRPA State Championship Competitor Roster and Information Report" must be identified with a CRPA # and Expire Date (Mo/Yr) or be noted as "New MBR" as detailed above.
