1. "The Unitarians and the Universalists" by David Robinson, Greenwood Press, 1985. About 185 p. of text plus 150 p. of Biographical Dictionary of important people in the movements. 10 p. of "Bibliographic Essay". The text is too condensed and abstract. It becomes clear only if one already knows some UU history. Many chapters alternate between Universalist and Unitarian history but little comparison between the two. This book represents about the best that could be done in the limited number of pages allocated to a huge topic.
