 Dear Friends:

To rally the troops around the country for the January 18th march
against a war in Iraq, and to continue reaching out to new people,
the Empowerment Project is making a special offer to Democracy
University folks, a 65 minute tape of inspiring video to purchase
and share. *Days of Resistance,* produced and directed
by Academy Award-winning director Barbara Trent, consists of three
distinct programs covering two recent demonstrations, the October 6th
Not in Our Name event in New York and the International ANSWER
October 26th march in DC, plus a five minute montage of speakers
and demonstrators reacting to this proposed war (produced in
association with the North Carolina Independent Media Center).
Videos include Jesse Jackson, Patti Smith, Susan Sarandon, Martin
Sheen, Tim Robbins, Al Sharpton, Ramsey Clark, leaders of a myriad
of peace movements, and many more. It is a moving documentation
of the growing resistance movement in the US.

To preview the five-minute teaser (Real Player), visit:

The special DU cost for the tape is $15, reduced from
our advertised $25 rate. The proceeds will fund the Empowerment
Project video of the upcoming January 18th demonstration in DC.

Email your request for tapes now, and we will put them in the mail
immediately with an invoice. Please include the name, address,
email, and phone number of the responsible party. The tape should
 arrive in 3-5 business days.

Since the events of 9/11/2001, Empowerment Project has been
documenting the reinvigorated US anti-war movement. Now, as Bush
pushes dangerously closer to an escalated war in Iraq, the
resistance movement is organizing more quickly and tenaciously
than ever. On Saturday January 18, many of us will march. The
Empowerment Project will be in DC participating in the production
of a live satellite feed with Free Speech TV and World Link to
document the event, ensuring that the strong opposition to this war
is heard by many people for days, weeks, and years to come.

A special thanks to Ralph Cole, through whom we are pleased to
be able to forward this special offer to all of you who have
 been part of Democracy University.

 Sincerely,

 Cris Rivera
