CLUB ENDORSEMENTS: We will hold our general membership meeting in Room A, NOT in the Auditorium as usual. (The Gardena Recreation Department has scheduled a sports banquet for the Auditorium and has moved us to Room A, which is also on the ground floor.) We suggest you come early, as seating will be limited.
All members are very much encouraged to attend, as we anticipate endorsing for County Supervisor District 2, District Attorney, State Assembly Districts 51, 52, 53 and 55 and Senate District 25 seats, Congressional Districts 35, 36 and 37 some Superior Court Judge positions, County Central Committee seats and perhaps other June 3rd primary candidates of interest to our members.
Candidates, or their representatives or club members who support specific candidates may speak briefly and answer questions prior to each vote. Members who want more information on our endorsement process are encouraged to check our ByLaws on our web site.
We will not be taking positions on Propositions 98 and 99 until our May meeting when we will have a program on those issues.
Members are encouraged to be on time.
(To be eligible to vote, you must have joined our club by last month's general meeting and you must have paid your dues for 2008.)

Michael Moore's latest movie...
SiCKO
is out on DVD!
A number of local and chain bookstores ran out of the "SiCKO" DVD early on the day of its release. Barnes & Noble at the Del Amo Mall had ordered only seven copies! So please go to your local bookstore and ask them to re-stock "SiCKO!" This is a very important movie that puts the lie to big media's portrayal of the American health care system. If everyone sees this film we will be able to create a REAL Universal Health Care system in the U.S.A.! Please recommend that all your friends and relatives buy, rent or get together and watch "SiCKO!"

"SiCKO" pointedly demonstrates how
lobbyists control the U.S. Congress
and now Presidential candidates
(and California Governors, for that matter)
and how they have destroyed the
American health care system.
