Next Meeting

Tuesday, November 25, 2008
at 7:30 PM
at the David K. Hayward Community Center
2000 Artesia Boulevard
(on the corner of Green, between Hawthorne Blvd. & Aviation)
in Redondo Beach, California

We have two speakers this month. We will hear from our own Lee Fink, who will tell about his experiences working for the Obama campaign in Colorado.

We will also hear from Meredith Good, who was hired by the Virginia Democratic Party and handled college student GOTV. Meredith was graduated in June from USC with a degree in communications. Before going to work in Virginia, She worked in Hillary Clinton's campaign

This means we will have campaign people from two states that were turned from red to blue. It promises to give us good insight on how we went from a red country to a blue one.

Tony Hale in front of the Democratic Action Center campaign headquarters in old downtown Torrance. The DAC Headquarters is located at 1673 Cravens Ave., which runs diagonally into the corner of Carson Street and Cabrillo Ave., near that corner in Torrance. Their phone number is
(310) 536-0093.

Half the money goes to the club and the other half to a lucky winner, who is not allowed to donate the money back!

GOOD VIDEOS ... (ask your local Music/Video or Movie Rental store to carry these items!)

On sale on Tuesday, November 6, 2007!

SiCKO DVD, Michael Moore's examination of America's ailing health care industry and how the lobbyists in Washington, D.C. are keeping it that way. The DVD includes over 80 minutes of new material! Funny and tragic at the same time.

Hacking Democracy DVD, Bev Harris' investigation of stealing elections through computerized electronic voting. It actually shows Florida election officials trying to destroy evidence of vote-countign fraud!

Who Killed The Electric Car? DVD

GOOD READS ... (ask your local Bookstore and Library to carry these books!)

NEW 2007 PAPERBACK EDITION!

"Fooled Again: The Real Case for Electoral Reform" by Mark Crispin Miller, Revised Edition with over 100 new pages covering the 2006 elections.

Book "Fooled Again: How the Right Stole the 2004 Election & Why They

"Fooled Again: How the Right Stole the 2004 Election & Why They'll Steal the Next One Too (Unless We Stop Them)" by Mark Crispin Miller.

This is a very important and interesting book if you value living in a free and open democracy. The people behind Bush/Cheney stealing the 2000 and 2004 Presidential elections have no interest in free and fair elections nor in allowing you any free choices in how you live your life.

For more information on "Fooled Again" visit Mark Crispin Miller's website.

Also read Greg Palast's book "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy" to find out more on how Bush/Cheney stole the 2000 election from Al Gore.

NEW 2007 PAPERBACK EDITION!

Includes a new chapter on Republican efforts to steal the 2008 election! Go to Greg Palast.com for more information.

"Armed Madhouse: Who's Afraid of Osama Wolf?, China Floats, Bush Sinks, The Scheme To Steal '08, No Child's Behind Left, and Other Dispatches from the Front Lines of the Class War" by Greg Palast.

Another great book by Greg Palast, investigative journalist who grew up in "The Valley" but who was forced to publish his findings overseas in The Guardian and Observer newspapers in the U.K. and on the BBC. Greg uncovered the election fraud in Florida before the 2000 election, which the Republicans stole from Al Gore, even though Gore officially got a million more votes than Bush!

"Was the 2004 Presidential Election Stolen? Exit Polls, Election Fraud and the Official Count" by Steven Freeman & Joel Bleifuss, with a Forward by Representative John Conyers, Jr.

The original exit polls, which were quickly covered up, showed that John Kerry won almost all of the "Battleground" States by substantial margins, and that John Kerry won the 2004 Presidential Election by 7 MILLION VOTES! What happened? A very important and easy-to-read book.
