targeted OUR district as the #1 in the state to take over. We cannot let this happen. Mike is an enormously qualified candidate and will be a great asset to us and to the Assembly. He has run a thoughtful and honest campaign and we need him in Sacramento.

Moreover, it is not only this race that is at stake. If we lose, and they are able to gain a foothold, it will be exceedingly difficult for us to unseat the incumbent in two years. And, Debra’s seat in the Senate will be hard to retain when her term is up if Greg Hill is sitting in the Assembly, while the “I’ll never take any special interest money” governor is up for reelection in 2006. We must terminate their long range plans for our home towns now. Mike needs our help. Please call his headquarters at 310-322-2234 and volunteer to make calls, work on mailings or walk a neighborhood.

There is still much to do in these last weeks. If you are already working hard, thank you and keep it up. If you

have been unable to get involved yet, please make every effort to help. This election will be won by getting our voters out to the polls in overwhelming numbers.

We cannot rest, we must make it happen.

We want November 3rd to be the happiest day we have had in four years. Be a part of the Victory 2004, there’s not a moment to waste.

Bobbi Buescher

going at John Wayne. I have a special place for the movie hero Big John. During WWII he refused to enter the service because they would not give him a commission. The Edwards/V.P. Cheney affair was like Kennedy/V.P. Nixon where Nixon ended up the heavy & Cheney ended as the War Monger!

And finally, some months ago I mentioned a Dr. Steven Hatfill who was deemed a “person of interest” by the FBI. Since 2001 they have sliced him & diced him, but still have filed no charges in the Anthrax attacks. Just this month a Dr. Kenneth Berry has also been saddled with “a person of interest” connotation. Both men had their lives disrupted, their homes invaded. And any presumption of innocence before proven guilty is out the window. The charges & investigations supposedly are done to clear their names. So, how does the USA clean up a toilet with a dirty mop?
