The troop leader's goal is to enrich, educate and empower each girl in the troop, through planned activities designed to deepen her awareness of self and others. The theme, Special People, provides the opportunity for each Brownie to grow into caring and confident young women. Hopefully, these experiences will prepare the young girls to succeed in the world and make a positive impact on the community.

During the school year, the troop leader is the third grade teacher at Carlthorp School in Santa Monica, California.
