Since its Investiture, the troop has lived out the Girl Scout Law and
Girl Scout Promise through community service.
The troop's volunteer activities are not restricted to Santa Monica.
- In May of 1996 and 1997 the troop had a clothing drive for two needy families in El
Florido, Mexico. This project was in partnership with a Mexico workcamp
sponsored by Amor Ministries and Brentwood Presbyterian Church.
- In June of 1996 the troop served as meal hosts to over 300 Special Olympic athletes participating in the Southern California Summer Games at UCLA.
- In September of 1996 the troop volunteered at The Big Help, sponsored by Nickelodeon, the United States Department of Education and the California State PTA. The event was at the Santa Monica Pier and promoted literacy and volunteerism among children.
- In December of 1996 the troop was the "Secret Santa" for children living at the Chernow House and donated cookies for their holiday party. The Chernow House is transitional housing for homeless families living in East Los Angeles.
- Also in December of 1996 the troop spent an evening Christmas Caroling at Saint John's Hospital in Santa Monica, California. The girls gave some holiday cheer to patients on the Maternity and Cancer wards.
- In June of 1997 the troop planned and hosted the June Birthday Party for the residents of the Ronald McDonald House in Los Angeles, California. The Ronald McDonald House provides accomodations for families from all over the country, who have children receiving cancer treatment at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles in Hollywood, California.
