About this Calendar

Like the lists of events it attempts to catalogue, this calendar continues to evolve.

Several years ago, I was asked to deliver a talk on a boring subject. In a attempt to generate interest in what I had to say, I decided to start the talk by listing the events which had occurred in the past on the date the talk was being given. Because of the difficulty I encountered trying to find a listing of dated events in history, I started to construct this calender, using the references I was able to locate.

I have used the calendar to construct birthday greetings. Selected thank-you notes can be viewed by clicking on letters.

Since some sources are less accurate than others, there are invariably errors which may be found in this calendar. I would be grateful to anyone pointing out such errors and offering documented evidence which would warrant correcting any such mistakes.
