Exertions upon divergent occasions

... or, anyway, thou hast not Donne, but you probably knew that already....

(And speaking of that sort of thing, I still wonder if I should have put Il miglior fabbro in the Rededication, just in case an English major happened across it.)

Here are plinkables to copies of various things I've risked my wrists and fingers on in recent years. Most were submissions to various non-technical publications that were ignored. Almost all, even the ones that more-or-less technical pubs did e-print and the couple or three a newspaper or two did, are in the as-written form rather than the as-published, or even the as cut down to conform to procrustean Letters to the Editor limits, form. (And speaking of that sort of thing, if you haven't read the as-written version of Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land, you've got a wonderful treat coming -- as well as an opportunity to see why I hate copy editors, even if he did do the cuts himself.)

No special order, and presumably there will be more at some point if you feel like checking back since I've got a couple of more or less technical, or at any rate 'Net-oriented, ones in draft that I'll be getting rejected soon, but at least I'll put the non-tobacco oriented ones first, just to feel I've done some sorting.

Everything's © M. A. Padlipsky, b/t/w, even if I neglected to say so in the individual pieces; 2005, when I added severalmany items and tarted the "page" up a bit, if not otherwise stated, in fact.

[And as of 2/05 I've actually started putting some far-from-recent stuff in, down at the very bottom.]
